“waking up in my bed, I heard my mom yelling at me from the downstairs. Stretching out just, then my phone beeped indicating I have a notification, slowly reaching my phone which was on my night stand, the message was about a sale saying ‘back to school’ last week of summer, from next week I will be starting my senior year in high school, after that we all will be kicked into actual world, last year in high school should be something different, I hope this year won’t be like last year”
Mom: get your ass down Emma
Emma: I’m up, 5 min I will be down
“wearing my slippers I hoped out of my bed, as I was passing by my bedroom window, I guess someone is moving in?”
Emma: do we have anyone moving in next door mom?
Mom: oh yeah I have seen them moving in today early in the morning!!!
Emma: hmm so why did you call me downstairs?
Mom: you got a letter!
“I was super confused, who could it be. With all the question going on in my head I took my letter and went upstairs, after going up I opened it, ugh really it was from my best friend Julian just to annoy me she sent this”
“I took out my phone and called her, smiling”
Julian: hello Emma do you remember anything about today?
Emma: oh I do, an idiot was born today!
Julian: really Emma!!
Emma: happy birthday J
Julian: thanks E, today is my birthday I have pool party at my place you are invited I don’t want any but’s!!
Emma: but you know I hate parties J
Julian: please Emma it’s my birthday, can’t you do this for me
Emma: fine I will come, but don’t force me to play those stupid games!!!
Julian: thanks girl.
“I totally forgot about Julian’s birthday, until I have seen the date on the letter she sent me, after sometime I got ready to meet my best friend to give her my gift and wishes as I went downstairs our doorbell rang indicating someone was outside as I went to open the door, I didn’t expect him to see my mom was saying something from the kitchen, I was not paying attention to any of it, all my attention was on the person who was standing in front of me with same shocked expression I have”
Emma: Ryan?
Ryan: Emma?
Mom: how many times should I call you—oh I’m sorry who are you?
Ryan: me and my family moved into the next door, I need some help do you have hammer?
Mom: we have one in the garage, sweetie go show it to him!
Emma: okay mom!!
“I remained silent and same goes with him”
Emma: here
Ryan: thanks Emma!!
Emma: you remember?
Ryan: what do you mean!
Emma: I thought you will forget me!!
Ryan: hmm why would I do that
Emma: I don’t know, I thought your parents weren’t in good terms?
Ryan: well they do hate each other but the money we have is still keeping us together I guess
Emma: want to hang out?
Ryan: I would love to!
Emma: evening pool part at my friend’s home come with me!
Ryan: you mean as a date? *smirk*
Emma: you wish! not like a date just like a friend!!
Ryan: ouch!
Emma: stop flirting! *laughing*
